In case you haven’t heard it yet, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani released their first song together, “Nobody But You,” in January. And this week, the hit duet just ascended to No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay. This makes it Blake’s 27th No. 1 hit on the country chart and the first one for Gwen after more than 25 years of being a pop star.

Nobody But You by Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani has been a strong sales performer ever since its release. It has already drawn 9.4 million U.S. streams and sold 9,000 downloads in the week ending April 23. And of course, nobody is more excited about it than the musical power couple themselves the couple.

Blake turned to Twitter to congratulate Gwen on her first No. 1 country song with the sweetest message. “Congratulations @gwenstefani on your first country song going #1 at country radio!!!” the country superstar wrote. “Not bad for your first try!!!!!”

Gwen has a sweet reply too, “Trying to wrap my head around the fact that I even get to know you, Blake Shelton—let alone be on such a beautiful classic duet with you?! Thank you for taking me along on this ride with you! I am so grateful and blown away by all the support everyone has shown us!”

And as expected, fans are going wild over the news. They sent the couple tweet after tweet of congratulations. A lot is still taken aback that an edgy pop star like Gwen, could pull off a country hit.

But what most fans didn’t know was that “‘Nobody But You’ wasn’t written as a duet, but it is a duet,” Shelton told Billboard. The singer is thankful to the song’s writers “for trusting us with this incredible song that captures exactly how I feel about Gwen, and I can connect with every lyric.”

“I still pinch myself every time I hear one of my songs on the radio, but I have to pinch and twist really hard to believe I’m singing it with Gwen Stefani,” he said of his girlfriend of over four years. The song was co-written by hit songwriter Shane McAnally, who wrote the song with Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne, and Tommy Lee James.

A Duet That Will Melt Your Heart

The talented pair last performed the song at Blake’s Friends and Heroes Tour final show in Los Angeles, where the crowd went wild the moment Gwen came out on the stage. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani duet of “Nobody But You” was also the main highlight during the 2020 Grammy Awards.

The couple played up the romance during their performance, they sang facing each other and locking eyes at all times. At one point, Stefani grabbed Blake’s hand as they finished singing the love ballad.

Earlier that night, the couple had a chat with Ryan Seacrest on the E! red carpet and revealed that the song perfectly fit their story. “Once we listened to it, we realized it’s actually a perfect duet, especially for us — the lyrics of the song just fit our story perfectly,” Blake said.

Just recently, the power couple dropped the acoustic version of “Nobody But You” while both quarantined amid the coronavirus pandemic. They first performed the acoustic version for the ACM Presents: Our Country special and during an interview on the at-home version of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where Gwen Stefani gave Blake Shelton a quarantine haircut.

The Couple is Blessing us With Two Music Videos

We all know that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are head over heels for each other, but if you want more proof, then you should watch the music video for “Nobody But You.” The Sophie Muller-directed video was mainly filmed around Los Angeles, though some scenes were shot at Blake’s ranch in Oklahoma.

The video featured several clips of the couple singing while cuddling up on the couch, and their dog, Betty, is goofing around. There were also scenes taken during a late-night dinner date at a casual restaurant and driving around in their car

Some of the footage even appeared to be self-shot moments from their everyday life, including a compilation of sweet selfies with a make-up free Stefani laughing as Blake showers her in kisses. The music video has already garnered over 27.55 million views since it was uploaded on January 22.

Now, you can watch sparks fly again between Blake and Gwen as they release a vertical video for the acoustic version. The original cinematic essence was taken away; instead, it shows just the couple singing together.

Blake previously told ET that “Nobody But You” held a special place in his and Stefani’s hearts.

“This was one of those songs where the more I heard it, the more I fell in love with it,” the country singer revealed.

“Gwen was crying when we even just talked about singing it together at all,” he added. “It just seemed to fit perfectly with our story, and, musically, I think it walks the line of what I can do and what she can do. Everything just kind of aligned and came together, and it’s one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments.”

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani The Voice stint together may be over as Gwen will no longer be back next season but guess we’ll be seeing more collaboration from these fantastic singers, and we are so excited about it.
