A lot of people have questioned whether Randy Travis could still go back to singing. Well, worry not because the country legend is doing better after stroke.

The Grand Ole Opry‘s official YouTube account finally posted the emotional video of Randy Travis coming back to the prestigious stage. He was welcomed by a crowd of country stars led by Don Schlitz and Josh Turner.

Randy Travis Made an Appearance at the Opry Stage

The event was in celebration of Randy Travis’ birthday. He had been through ups and downs in his career and his recent stroke was one of the worst things that happened to the singer. It was assumed that he may not go back to singing anymore, but his recent Opry appearance says otherwise.

The performance was led by country singer-songwriter Don Schlitz. He was singing Randy’s classic hit “Forever and Ever, Amen.” The Opry crowd was with him while he was singing the song. Later on, he was joined by other fellow country artists on stage. Josh Turner and his wife joined Schlitz in singing the song.

It felt like a huge welcome party was prepared for the appearance of the country legend. The crowd was anticipating his cameo and once he joined the country stars on stage, the long wait for his return was worth it.

Randy Travis Singing the Last Line

When Randy Travis appeared on stage, everybody was joyous and excited for him. Although it was hard to see him still having a hard time walking, everybody was still happy that he was able to be at the Grand Ole Opry Stage.

Don gave Travis the privilege of singing the last line of the song. Randy was smiling and he felt really happy that he was able to come back. He was given the standing ovation that he deserves. It is actually amazing that he did try to sing the word “amen” and he added some melody to it. Some of the comments on the video said that they were very emotional after watching it. This only concludes that Randy Travis is well loved by the country community, and we wish him a faster recovery.
