Country singer Rory Feek is starting a new chapter of his life with his 10-year-old daughter, Indiana, and his now wife, Rebecca. The two tied the knot last July 14, 2024, “under a beautiful timber-frame pavilion here in Greycliff, Montana.”

For almost a decade, Feek had been known as the other half of the country and bluegrass duo Joey + Rory. They married in 2002 and became duet partners in 2008 until Joey Feek’s passing in 2016 due to terminal cervical cancer. Eight years later, Feek once again said, “I do.”

In a blog revealing behind-the-scenes of their wedding, he penned, “I sang at a wedding this past weekend. The only thing was… the bride had no idea. Neither did most of the family and friends who came. So it was a big surprise for just about everyone there. Except me.”

As it turned out, it was a special one he had written himself for the special woman in his life. He talked about how he wanted to use the gifts God had given him to be a gift to her, and so he made her something to remember their special day. It was a three-minute video — shot by his nephew Mikel Hunt and created and produced by his friend Matthew Craig Johnson — a culmination and celebration of a journey of him and her and especially Indiana, whom he lovingly calls Indy and the one who made it all happen.

According to the singer, while he and Rebecca were committed to being together, marriage was something neither of them felt they could seriously talk about because Indy had always seen Rebecca as her school teacher and their friend. Her love for her Mama Joey was so big and great, and they didn’t want to hurt her in any way. So, they just let her figure it out on her own — and she did.

He recalled Indy repeating to him what she had said to Rebecca, that she thought she should marry him. He was caught off guard, and needless to say, there were tears.

At the wedding, Rory Feek surprised his bride with a song titled “I Do,” which he actually already performed at one of his concerts at the farm back in May when Rebecca already left the hall to put Indy to bed. It was definitely a memorable moment for him. But far greater than that moment for him was the gift Indiana received that day of having a Mama in her life again and Rebecca being given the gift of being a mother.

Watch Rory Feek perform his new song dedicated to Rebecca, with the highlights of their wedding in the video clip below.
