Grammy-winning duo Sugarland proved that they can perform with the biggest stars in the world. Back in 2011, both artists were on the Grammy’s stage performing Gaga’s “You and I.”
The performance showed both the vocal prowess of the two female singers and the audience loved it.
Sugarland can Perform with Anyone
Although Sugarland is a country duo, it has not stopped them from collaborating with some of pop music’s biggest artists. The group rose to fame when their debut album, Twice the Speed of Life, peaked at No.2 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. They continued making great music and has won their first Grammy with their hit “Stay.”
The lead vocalist, Jennifer Nettles, is quite blessed with a powerful voice and it helped their group get the attention of other artists. Since then, they have worked with Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, and even Beyonce. This time, Sugarland decided to do a performance with Lady Gaga, singing her Grammy-winning song called “You and I.” The track has some great notes in it and this was performed really well by the two. They even managed to change the pronoun singing each other’s name instead of saying ‘You.’
Sugarland and Lady Gaga’s Performance
Watching their performance made it seem like the two have been performing for years. They have chemistry on stage and their voice complemented each other. There were even some moments in the performance where Sugarland played the second voice and then belted out at the chorus part.
The crowd was totally into it as they stood the whole time. Sugarland offered a refreshing take on the song by incorporating some country music element into it. The two also showed their brilliance in playing the instruments and performed the heck out of the song.
