While Faith Hill has not released a full gospel project yet, she did channel her faithful genre on her Breathe album. Hill is no stranger to devoting herself to her craft the way gospel music sounds. She has an emotional voice and extensive vocal range. She chose to close out the album with a contemporary gospel song, “There Will Come a Day.” The lyrics talk about holding on through the tribulations of the world.
Faith, More than Her Name
For country singer Faith Hill, faith is more than just her first name. Faith Hill grew up in the Baptist church. It is not only where she discovered her love for Jesus, but also where she got her start at singing. She has always said that faith is still a big part of her. That is where her foundation, her strength lies. It prepared her to deal with life on her own. She clings to faith when trials in the music industry come. Having a backbone of spirituality makes her stronger. Faith goes to the Lord in prayer regularly. It is what carried her through the journey of becoming a country star, and it is what still carries her today.

No doubt, Faith Hill scored one of the biggest hits of her career in 1999 with her spiritual “There Will Come a Day” song.
“There Will Come a Day”, A Promise
The Bible details on Jesus’ coming again someday and the world as we know it will end. There are many ideas about the end of everything, but the Bible gives a few details of what exactly will happen. We do not have answers. Instead, we have pieces of advice to be spiritually prepared for that day and to put our trust in God that He will make everything right in the end.
Moreover, this song paints the perfect picture of that amazing day when we will meet our Maker. Regardless of what is going on in our world, we can trust that there is a better place where our Father waits.
Faith Hill performed this song on television after the 9/11 attacks. She, along with various artists, participated in a fundraising program with all proceeds benefitting the United Way’s September 11th Telethon Fund.
