As if Walker Hayes’ “Fancy Like” wasn’t enough, the infectious hit got another boost as the country crooner enlisted GRAMMY-nominated pop star Kesha for a remix of the popular track.

Walker Hayes revealed that he’s always been a fan of Kesha‘s vocals and boldness ever since he first listened to her music. “When Kesha sings, you know it’s Kesha,” the country star said, as he further appreciated the pop star’s swag and how her honest songwriting seems to celebrate the fun in day-to-day life.

Meanwhile, Kesha has expressed how “Fancy Like” spoke straight to her heart the moment she listened to it and brought her right back to her country roots. “This song reminds me of all those cheap thrills of the deep South that made me the wild woman I am,” she said.

All through the remixed version of the viral hit, Hayes sings in perfect harmony with Kesha – who also added her own verse to the track to share what she’s “Fancy Like,” even giving Waffle House a shoutout.

The country chart-topper said that rewriting the song with Kesha was his favorite part of the collaboration. Hayes explained that they would text each other for lines to-and-fro until they found the remix’s perfect lyrics.

And it seems like Hayes is more than satisfied with the result, sharing on an Instagram post that he’d listen to it “about 1,786 times.”

“Trynna stay chill about it, but I just can’t,” he added.

“Fancy Like” is among Walker Hayes songs featured on his latest project, Country Stuff, which made waves on TikTok after its release earlier this summer – thanks to a dance challenge Hayes and his daughter Lela created. Applebee’s, the restaurant chain mentioned in the chorus, even noticed the track and started using it in a commercial.
