The annual WE Fest celebrates its 41st year with a killer three-day line-up from August 1 to 3, 2024, at the Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

The festival tapped three of the biggest names in country music at the moment to top-bill: award-winning, Grammy-nominated rapper-turned-country singer Jelly Roll, Texas-born musician Parker McCollum, and Nashville’s renegade Eric Church. Joining them on stage is a string of top-notch acts, including  Koe Wetzel, Carly Pearce, Elle King, and Trace Adkins. “Hick-hop” rapper Cowboy Troy will emcee the event.

And each day has a hashtag OOTD theme assigned to it. Thursday’s Southern Safari is about getting wild with animal prints. Friday is country music day, with Should’ve Been A Cowboy. Dress to impress with your ranch-style fit. Lastly, Saturday is all blue, supporting police, military, and first responders.

But before the festival officially kicks off, Bixby music artist Corey Kent will hold a bonus concert. Admission is free with a three-day pass.

Aside from these highly-anticipated sets, they organized an exclusive hot party right by the main stage with private live music and a bar with drink specials. They also expanded East Village, just outside the concert bowl, where you can hang with friends for drinks, food, and games and see sponsors and vendors! And they’ve prepared activities like the Baggo Tournament.

In 2023, WE Fest enjoyed a star-studded bill of 19 artists headlined by country superstars Morgan Wallen, Brad Paisley, and Kane Brown for a 72-hour country music extravaganza.

Festival Essentials & Insider Tips

WE Fest can accommodate up to 50,000 people per day, including 7,000 reserved seats and 10 separate campgrounds with a total camping capacity of 35,000 people. In 2016, they recorded a sold-out three-day show with 150,000 attendees. While they haven’t surpassed that number again, it has always been close. So, grab your tickets now before they sell out.

There’s Single-day General Admission ($129), Lawn Chair Reserved Seating ($195 – $325), 3-day GA ($199 and $155 with military discount), Grandstand Seating ($295 – $325), Reserved Seating ($295 – $395), and VIP Seating ($675 – $1,195). Upgrade GA to Bacardi Country Club ($109) or a 3-day Pit Pass ($649). As for accommodation, only standard campsites ($115) are left. But should you snatch a spot, you can register for the Campsite Decor Contest to make it an even more fun experience! This year’s theme is “Shearer’s Country Carnival,” a nostalgic charm and traditional rural fair vibe.

Shuttles are available to and from WE Fest, sponsored by the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce. The festival is free for campers and a minimal fee for non-campers ($25 for three days, $10 per day).

To enter the festival grounds, attendees must register and activate their wristbands. They must also follow the bag policy: Bags larger than 4.5” x 6.5” must be clear with only one compartment. No bags larger than 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed. Small, single-pocket fanny packs or clutch/wristlets work great!
