What are we in God’s eyes? We all want to become special in God’s eyes. We want to be the best and we want Him to recognize us. But, what are we to do then, and can we be better than others?

Can We be Greater than the Others in God’s Eyes?

Whether we like it or not, we cannot be greater than others in God’s eyes. Everyone is equal to Him. He doesn’t care if you are the most beautiful person in the world, the richest man, or the smartest human. God loves us equally, and that certainly brings comfort doesn’t it?

God sees us as individuals in His likeness, therefore, it is right that He loves us all the same. Aside from the fact that we are shaped in His likeness, we all commit sin. We can never run away from the darkness of the world that could tempt us to stray away from God. And, therefore, we cannot consider ourselves greater than others because we all have done something wrong.

May we all accept that God loves us equally, and that is enough.

How to be Good in God’s Eyes?

We have already established that whatever we do, we are all equally loved by God. But how are we then going to show God the goodness in us? How can we prove to Him that we are worthy of His love? Willie Nelson wrote an inspiring gospel song known as “In God’s Eyes.” In this single, he talked about what we can do to look good.

Check out his song here.

Nelson reminds us that to look good in God’s eyes, we have to do good things too. We need to lend a helping hand to people in need. We have to stop judging people in our heart because we are not perfect individuals to do that. The wonderful words Nelson wrote can really help us do our best to be a better person. No one wants to look bad in God’s eyes. We all want to look our best. We all want to repay the kindness and love of God by doing what is right.

Never think evil thoughts of anyone
It’s just as wrong to think as to say
For a thought is but a word that’s unspoken
In God’s eyes, He sees it this way

Are you ready to do something good today in God’s eyes?
