Woman Kicked Out of Luke Combs Concert for Dancing and Twerking on Security

A Luke Combs fan in Australia was kicked out for "dancing too hard" and twerking on security. She missed the show but has big plans for a second chance.

If you’re going to a Luke Combs concert, you better be ready to sing, dance, and maybe even shed a tear or two when “Beautiful Crazy” hits just right. But one fan in Australia took the “dance” part to heart—and ended up getting escorted out of the venue before Luke even took the stage.

The fan in question? A woman named Jolene (yes, seriously—Dolly Parton would be proud). She was having the time of her life during Mitchell Tenpenny’s opening set at Combs’ Brisbane show at Suncorp Stadium when security apparently decided she was enjoying herself too much.

Her crime? Allegedly dancing too hard and, well… twerking on a security guard.

Jolene’s night started like any other for a die-hard country fan at a stadium show—ready to let loose and soak in every moment. According to videos that have gone viral on TikTok, she was in high spirits, dancing along to Tenpenny’s set, seemingly minding her own business.

But at some point, she became too much fun for those around her. Reports suggest that a complaint from another fan—specifically a woman in a pink dress sitting behind her—led security to intervene.

Now, let’s be honest. A little enthusiastic dancing at a concert is standard, especially in Australia, where fans don’t see major country artists nearly as often as folks in the U.S. But things escalated when Jolene decided to jokingly twerk on a security guard.

While the twerking move might have been good fun, it was likely the final straw. When she returned from a bathroom break, security awaited her—before she even saw Luke Combs perform.

Talk about a buzzkill.

“I Was Just Having the Time of My Life”

After the incident, Jolene spoke to KIIS 97.3 radio hosts Kip Wightman, Robin Bailey, and Corey Oates to share her story. She insisted she wasn’t doing anything wrong—just enjoying the show:

“I was literally just having the time of my life. I was dancing to one of my favorite artists, Mitchell Tenpenny, and then supposedly… the lady in the pink dress behind me had gotten me kicked out. She obviously didn’t like my dancing.”

She also explained how security informed her she had to leave:

“The security guard called me over and said, ‘We’re really sorry, we’re going to have to get you to leave.’ And I’m like, ‘What? Why?’ And they said, ‘There’s been a complaint about you dancing and stuff.’ I didn’t even get to see Luke Combs.”

That’s right—Jolene spent good money on tickets to one of the biggest country shows of the year and didn’t even get to see the main event.

Did She Really Deserve to Be Kicked Out?

A spokesperson for Suncorp Stadium later released a statement defending the decision, saying:

“Patrons are not evicted solely for dancing. The patron was engaging in activity that was against the conditions of entry, which are designed to allow all fans to enjoy events at the stadium, and so there was no choice but to evict her.”

That sounds official, but let’s be honest—fans go to concerts to have fun. Sure, there’s a balance between enjoying yourself and disrupting those around you, but was Jolene causing that much of a problem?

If anything, the viral videos show a woman simply loving live country music. Maybe her dance moves weren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s a concert—not a black-tie gala.

A Happy Ending? Maybe…

Despite missing out on Luke’s Brisbane show, Jolene isn’t letting the experience ruin her country concert dreams. She’s planning to attend one of Luke’s upcoming shows in Sydney, and this time, she’s making sure she has general admission tickets so she can dance freely.

“I did actually ask them what seats they were, and the lady… said they’re usually really good seats. And I was like, ‘Well, if possible, GA (general admission) would be great.'”

Meanwhile, Mitchell Tenpenny responded to the viral moment, seemingly agreeing that Jolene was having a great time.

And honestly? That’s what country concerts should be all about.

Luke, Get Jolene Some Tickets!

Luke Combs is known for taking care of his fans, and if he’s seen this story (which, let’s be honest, he probably has by now), he might want to hook Jolene up with some tickets where she can dance as much as she wants.

She’s clearly one of the most enthusiastic fans out there—and maybe, just maybe, she’ll skip the twerking on security next time.
